Article 1254 of the Civil Code stipulates

“No throwing objects from buildings”

If the property service company and other building managers fail to take the necessary safety measures, they will be liable in tort for failing to fulfil their safety obligations in accordance with the law. Throwing objects from a height will be defined as a criminal offence from 1 March 2021. If the circumstances are serious, the offender will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of up to one year, criminal detention or public surveillance, and fined concurrently or independently.
